The L-shaped boy

Loping, larger,
Between fridge and larder,
Looking for a meal to destroy.
Look out, Mum,
Here comes your son,
It’s the L-shaped boy!

Lumbering, longer,
He has a kitchen to conquer,
Snacks must be deployed.
Up he shoots,
Out go the roots,
Of the L-shaped boy.

Loafing, lanky,
Hopeful for tea,
He’s a sight for clothiers to enjoy.
Tailors beaming,
As he reaches the ceiling,
He’s the L-shaped boy.

Loitering, Leggy,
Costs more than the ‘leckie,
Cobblers jump for joy.
The canoes go up a size,
“Not new shoes,” Dad sighs,
For the L-shaped boy.

I thought I’d go for something more lighthearted this week, this is about my eldest who is already taller than I am…
