I’m with you

I think about you always,
You are with me most days.
Never do my musing stray far,
From wherever it is that you are.
All the ways that you’ll grow,
Are happening out there, I just know.
What will be different when I next see you?
Perhaps you’ll be almost entirely new.
For we are ever changing,
That’s part of experience (and aging),
Constantly molded by passage of time,
Occasionally radically, more often refined.
And so I picture in my mind’s eye,
What has passed since we last said goodbye.
But here I must confess,
What that is I can never hope to guess.
